21.1.11: Ang pow craft

I taught the boys how to make some ang pow lantern. At first E didn't want to listen to instructions and just cut through the ang pow packet. After that, I drew a line at the edge of the ang pow packet to guide them to stop cutting at that line. They managed to cut it properly. When it was opened up and rolled and stapled at the edges, it is turned into a lantern. A strip of ang pow paper can be affixed at the top, for the handles.

14.1.11: Paper aeroplane craft

S independently looked through the crafts book that we borrowed from the national library and decided that he wanted to make paper planes. I helped him to make the paper plane. As usual, he didn't allow me to fly his plane. Looks like I've gotta make my own.

Paper Race Car

Here we are making a paper race car. I wanted to keep it until the kids were older, but S pestered me to make the race car. It was the most difficult craft I've ever done, as it had many pieces and took a long time to complete. Furthermore, the instructions were quite difficult to follow. I just winged it and did my best.

It was quite flimsy that after playing with it a few times, some parts became dislocated and I had to stick them together with cellotape.
