12.2.12 - Art Exhibition at Rimbun Dahan

After having heard so much about Rimbun Dahan we decided to make a trip there. It was just a 15 minutes drive away from where we live. According to Rimbun Dahan's website: "The compound of Rimbun Dahan is a centre for developing traditional and contemporary art forms. It features buildings designed by Hijjas Kasturi, as well as a 19th century traditional Malay house, in an indigenous garden environment."

Rimbun Dahan is a private property and was opened in conjunction with their 17th Rimbun Dahan Residency Exhibition from 12 - 26 February 2012. There was artwork by Malaysian artist Haslin Ismail and Australian artist Rob Gutteridge being showcased there.

It was a very large place and a very nice place in nature. We could here the insect sounds the moment that we alighted out from the car. The mosquitoes were quite persistent though.

Creative work with books

There was a nice herb garden there. I was told that there was a treehouse, but we didn't manage to find it, it was such a large place.

He calls this the "helicopter flower"
Any idea what is the name of this flower?
